Must Try

Two-storey Buona Vista market with two 2026 Bib Gourmand stalls upstairs: Ru Ji Kitchen's fishball noodles and New Lucky's charcoal claypot rice.
Two 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand stalls: Ru Ji Kitchen's handmade fishball noodles and New Lucky's charcoal-fired claypot rice.
Holland Drive Market & Food Centre stacks a wet market under a floor of cooked-food stalls, a short walk from Buona Vista MRT and next to Holland Village. Upstairs are two of the 2026 MICHELIN Guide's Bib Gourmands. New Lucky Claypot Rice goes back to 1979, when founder Choong Yee Hong opened it at the now-demolished Margaret Drive hawker centre after learning the trade in Chinatown. It moved several times before settling here, and it still cooks every pot to order over charcoal. Ru Ji Kitchen spreads across two side-by-side stalls, selling noodles in soup or dry with fish balls made on site from yellowtail. Its founder once helped his brother sell fishball noodles at nearby Ghim Moh. Around them is everyday food for the estate: kway chap from Blanco Court Kueh Chap, whose roots trace to the 1950s at the old Blanco Court, Hakka yong tau foo, and Malay nasi padang.
✨ Vibe: Holland Village's sensible, delicious secret

Ru Ji Kitchen
Fishball noodlesA 2026 Bib Gourmand run across two adjacent stalls. Get the dry mee pok with springy fish balls made on site from yellowtail, or switch to bak chor mee. Go early, because it closes around lunchtime.
New Lucky Claypot Rice
Charcoal claypot riceStarted in 1979 and a Bib Gourmand since 2017. Each pot of chicken, Chinese sausage and salted fish is cooked from scratch over charcoal and feeds two. Pre-order to skip the wait.
Blanco Court Kueh Chap
Kway chapA family kway chap business with roots in the 1950s at the long-gone Blanco Court food centre. The braise is lighter and milder than most, a good contrast to Cheng Heng's darker gravy nearby.
Shima's Kitchen
Nasi padangA Muslim-owned Malay stall with breakfast first, then a wide nasi padang spread with dishes like curry chicken and mutton rendang. Popular dishes sell out early on weekdays.
The hawker stalls are upstairs, above the wet market. New Lucky's claypot rice is cooked to order over charcoal, and one pot feeds two, so Michelin recommends calling ahead to pre-order and avoid a long wait.

Each stall keeps its own hours, so there's no single opening time. Many open from breakfast and close by mid-afternoon or evening. The centre also closes for a few days of NEA cleaning each quarter; the notice at the top of this page shows the next closure.
It's at Blk 44 Holland Drive, Buona Vista. Nearest MRT: Buona Vista (EW/CC Line), short walk.
Most people spend around $4–$8 per person for a main and a drink.
Not every stall is halal. Halal-certified stalls display a MUIS halal certificate, so look for it before you order.
