Must Try

A modern hawker centre in Yishun with a good mix of traditional and contemporary hawker stalls.
One of the newer hawker centres in the North — clean, well-ventilated and popular with young families.
Yishun Park Hawker Centre opened in 2016 as part of NEA's push to build a new generation of hawker centres — better ventilated, cleaner, designed with both hawkers and diners in mind. What it inherited was something no design brief can manufacture: a community. Yishun has always had a complicated reputation in Singapore's cultural imagination, but its residents know something outsiders don't — the food up here is excellent, unpretentious, and priced for real people. The hawker centre filled with regulars almost immediately. The North always knew how to eat.

Yishun Laksa
LaksaRich coconut gravy with thick bee hoon, cockles, and tau pok. The broth is made fresh each morning — you can tell by the colour. North Singapore has always had good laksa. This stall proves it.
Park Chicken Rice
Hainanese Chicken RicePoached chicken, fragrant rice, clear soup, three dipping sauces. The chicken is silky and properly rested. The regulars have been coming since the first week the centre opened and have never considered leaving.
Yishun Roti Prata
Roti PrataCrispy-edged, fluffy-centred prata cooked on a well-seasoned griddle. The curry on the side has been simmering since before dawn. Weekend mornings here feel like the right way to start a day.
Good stop if visiting Lower Seletar Reservoir or Yishun Dam area.
